A long time ago, after a series of difficult clients in my early start up days in Atlanta, I found myself wondering if I would ever get a dream client.
The kind of client who believes in people and healthy cultures.
The kind of client who doesn’t insult their employees in front of them or throw temper tantrums.
The kind of client who fires up their team members instead of making them want to fold.
And then I met a great client, and another, and another.
And I realized one day it wasn’t that there aren’t asses out in the world, it was that I was no longer letting them in my sandbox.
I was starting to draw boundaries and set higher expectations for the kind of people and experiences I wanted in my life.
Take a moment to reflect this week.
Are there people in your life who are robbing you of your smile?
Are there people in your life who say horrible things behind a saccharine veneer?
Are there people in your life who drain your energy instead of fueling you up?
The only one who can escort them out of your sandbox is you.
To cleaning up your sandbox and smiling a whole lot more.
