These days, in a world with so much noise, and most of it the same, I’ve noticed that I’m gravitating towards sights, sounds, people, ads that are more unique, a skosh different – a bit quirky.

And far more real.

More self-expression. Less coif.
More defiance. Less template.
More voice. Less bluster.
More comfort. Less structure.
More choice. Less obligation.

Maybe it’s because of so much loss these past few months,

maybe it’s because I’m in the shadow lands of my forties,

maybe it’s because embracing my quirky is plain ole easier, less exhausting and more fun.

Whatever it is, it’s creating more connection everywhere I go, and I like it.
